Daily Devotional

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.
Hebrews 13:2
In biblical times -- and today in many parts of the world -- anyone who came to the door was given food and drink for the journey. The next house or town was often far away, and entertaining strangers could save the stranger's life.
This isn't something we feel safe doing today. We don't even open the door to strangers, let alone entertain them. So what are we suppose to do to keep this command?
One way is to join a group effort, such as working at a food bank or soup kitchen. Doing volunteer work at a nursing home or hospital is another option.
There are also individual ways to help -- little acts of kindness. You can check up on elderly neighbors once in a while, perhaps offer to run errands or mow their lawn. You can give way to another driver or step out of line at the supermarket and allow someone to go ahead of you. None of these actions put you in danger, but they are all forms of entertaining strangers.
Father, show me how I can be helpful to others in little ways that count.

Airsoft Ministry
[04.02.2008]
If you're wondering why there are a bunch of kids holding guns in the pictures above, it's because it's a ministry. One of our great ministries is airsoft, which are the little plastic BB guns that kids play with that is just like paintball, except without the mess. Contact us to see when we're doing our next Airsoft Event.

I want everybody and anybody to give me some suggestions about what they would like to have on this website. Either e-mail me at matt@foundationyouthministry.com or go to the X-Community Forum. I have started a thread on it that is called "Website Suggestions" please feel free to let me know what you're thinking! Don't forget, in order to post on the forum you must register with a valid e-mail address.
The forum registration is now working properly, hooray!!!
A New Name
[09.04.2006]
Recently switched from Big Life Student Ministry. We are currently giving our youth room a little bit of a face lift. Actually a big face lift, as well as a change in focus and attitude.
Currently our theme is Under Construction which symbolizes that we are in the process of building a new Foundation for Jesus in the hearts of our students.
In the past year many of our regular students have moved onto college, leaving room for many new students moving up to our terf at our church. We welcome everybody, but generally our students range from 6th grade to college students.
Unlike many churches, we believe that it is important to have older college students mixed in with the younger students to fill a role model position.
Our Mission
[11.09.2006]
what would happen if a place on the internet existed that looked like:
a website devoted to music, video, recordings, ministries, prayer, teaching, evangelistic ministries using technology such as podcasting. All in God's name to create a online christian community.
If it existed it would look like:
a online community for youth ministers and ministries to come and get resources, learn how to go about creating these type of ministries, what materials they will need to get the job done.
If it was available this is what would happen:
the youth students that are at home surfing youTube, myspace, the internet, facebook, blogspot and livejournal would get interested in our online community. We want this to become a safe haven away from all the sludge that can be found online today.
